We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Kenji Treschuk, a former professional soccer player from Hawaii, will be participating as a special coach again this year at Pacific Rim Cup 2025 Powered by MIXI, Inc. Kenji Treschuk is considered one of Hawaii's soccer legends, and his involvement promises to make this event truly unforgettable for all participants.
Moanalua High School graduate Treschuk played club soccer for the amateur Honolulu Bulls of the Men's Island Soccer Organization before attending Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) on scholarship, where he was a three-time Big Ten All-Academic Team honoree.
Upon graduating from Penn State, he played for Dutch teams HCSC and Alkmaarse Football Club '34 in the Netherlands before returning to the United States to sign with the Seattle Sounders of the USL First Division in 2007.
Following a rookie season in which he started 15 out of 26 regular-season games, Treschuk became the Sounders’ enforcer on the way to a United Soccer Leagues First Division title and was recognized as a USL-1 Award Finalist for Rookie of the Year in 2007 before moving on to the Charleston Battery in 2009.
