Pacific Rim Cup Returns this Summer with Expanded Clinic, Adding Tournament for Keiki under 11

We are organizing a fantastic soccer clinic and tournament for kids in Oahu, Hawaii, and we’re welcoming participants and teams from beyond the islands. Get ready for the Pacific Rim Cup 2024 Powered by Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting!

Our very popular soccer clinic, which draws 300 participants each time, caters to kids aged 4-14. Our special coaches are former Japan national team player Takuya Yamada, former professional player from Hawaii Kenji Treschuk and Shandon Hopeau, and David “Bingy” Lara, Head of Academy Recruitment of Seattle Sounders FC (MLS).

We’re also excited to introduce a new tournament for children ages 8-11. Matches will be organized by age group, promoting friendly competition among kids of similar abilities. This event also supports a philosophy of diversity by encouraging mixed-gender teams.

The Pacific Rim Cup last held its professional games at Aloha Stadium in 2019 and has been on hold since the pandemic. Since 2022, Blue United Corporation, the organizer, has conducted annual summer clinics for Hawaii’s soccer youth, with hopes of reviving the professional games soon.
