Pacific Rim Cup 2025 Powered by MIXI, Inc. Soccer Clinic a Huge Success – Mahalo, Hawaii!

Honolulu, HI – July 20, 2025 – The Pacific Rim Cup 2025 Powered by MIXI, Inc. Soccer Clinic took place this past Saturday, July 19, at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex — and once again proved to be a massive success.

With over 100 kids in attendance and registration selling out for the 6th consecutive time, the event was a powerful reminder of Hawaii’s deep love for soccer and the desire to bring professional soccer back to the islands.

From high-level coaching by international stars to inspiring moments of mentorship, the morning was filled with smiles, energy, and a sense of community. Parents, players, and coaches alike praised the event not just as a training opportunity — but as a movement.

“We are so thankful for the incredible support from the Hawaii community,” said Takehiko Nakamura, President and CEO of Blue United Corporation and Founder of the Pacific Rim Cup. “Every year, this clinic grows stronger, and it’s clear: Hawaii is ready to become a soccer hub once again.”

Clinic Highlights:

  • Elite instruction from former pros including Japan National Team alumniMLS Cup winners, and Hawaii-born legends

  • Boys and girls ages 4–14 participating in interactive, high-energy sessions

  • A growing push to bring professional soccer back to Hawaii by 2029

This year’s special guest coaches included:

  • Shandon Hopeau – Hawaii native, Seattle Sounders & San Antonio FC alum

  • Tsubasa Endoh – MLS Champion, leukemia survivor, and inspirational speaker

  • Takuya Yamada – Japan National Team veteran and former Nike Japan Sports Marketing lead

  • Kenji Treschuk – Moanalua HS graduate, pro in Europe and the USL, now giving back to the game
