HONOLULU – Blue United Corporation will host the Pacific Rim Cup - Keiki Soccer Clinic again in 2023. We are pleased to announce that Mr. Hideo Hashimoto, a former player for the Japanese national soccer team, will be participating as a special coach.

 

Mr. Hashimoto was promoted to the top team in 1998 after graduating from Gamba Osaka junior youth and youth teams, and went on to Osaka City University from Osaka Prefectural Tennoji High School, one of the best preparatory schools in Osaka Prefecture. He was a key player in the club's first league championship in 2005, and was selected for the Japan national team in 2007. He has also been successful both domestically and internationally, including winning the Asian Champions League.

 

He later led the team as a key player in Vissel Kobe, Cerezo Osaka, and Tokyo Verdy, etc. From 2019 he played for FC Imabari. After announcing his retirement in January of this year, he has been active in various fields such as running his own soccer school and writing for the media, while also serving as a part-time lecturer at Kansai University.

 

Following the Keiki Soccer Clinic, Mr. Hashimoto along with the other coaches will be available for autograph sessions and photo opportunities.

I will do my best to share my joy of soccer along with my experience with the soccer community in Hawaii. Although English isn’t my primary language, I will make every effort to communicate through body language! This will be my first visit to Hawaii, and I am excited to connect with everyone through soccer!
